OR Materials
O.R. Materials provides med/surg supplies for the operating rooms, anesthesia and sterile processing areas. We strive to have the required supplies available so that patient care needs can be met promptly, efficiently and with minimal disruption. We provide services at the Downtown campus, Community campus and the Out-Patient Surgery Center at 550 Harrison (Suite K).
At the Downtown campus we are also responsible for case picking. This involves reading doctor preference cards and selecting the correct items from the shelf before staging them in the OR holding area. For scheduled cases, products are picked the day prior to surgery. Add-on cases are also picked with limited notice throughout the day. Case picking staff also assist with unloading and stocking of inventory as well as delivering items to operating rooms on a call down basis.
