[00:00:00] Host Amber Smith: Here's some expert advice from Dr. Zachary Vredenburgh from Upstate Medical University.
[00:00:05] Host Amber Smith: How can we keep our knees healthy?
[00:00:07] Zachary Vredenburgh, MD: I think the best things we can do to preserve our knee health over a long period of time is keeping your weight healthy (and) watching what you're doing activity-wise in terms of anything that's going to have a high risk of having a major injury.
[00:00:17] Zachary Vredenburgh, MD: Now, that doesn't mean don't go out and play sports or be active, but some of the really, really high-impact things that you can do that put your knees at risk, I'd try to avoid that.
[00:00:27] Zachary Vredenburgh, MD: And I think those are probably the two biggest things. There's no really special medications or foods, or anything like that, that I'm aware of, that would help that.
