Jayne Charlamb, MD, left, is an internist specializing in breast care and breastfeeding medicine, and Davia Moss is a pediatric nurse practitioner. Both work at Upstate.
Breast cancer during her pregnancy presented tough but surmountable challenges
Pediatric nurse practitioner Davia Moss was pregnant when she learned she had breast cancer. Moss tells about the diagnosis, her fears and how she dealt with the cancer and pregnancy and gave birth to a healthy child. Joining her is Jayne Charlamb, MD, the doctor specializing in breast care who helped Moss -- and her baby -- through the medical crisis. Charlamb explains the risks involved in such cases, which are rare.
