How the pandemic impacts local refugees

Upstate internist and pediatrician Andrea Shaw, MD, talks about the Syracuse area's refugee community and how its members have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Through community outreach with resettlement agencies, she and colleagues have tested more than 200 refugee households, comprised of 675 individuals, and found only two positive cases among asymptomatic refugee and immigrant households.
