Milk is the primary source of nutrition for infant mammals before they are able to digest other types of foods. Many humans keep drinking milk their whole lives, and so many more milk choices are available today than ever before. But not all milk products are equivalent. Registered dietitian nutritionist Maureen Franklin talks us through the non-dairy alternatives and milks that are grain based, nut based, legume based and seed based. Franklin refers to a chart from "The Plant-Powered Diet" by registered dietitian nutritionist Sharon Palmer called the "Plant-based Dairy Alternatives Guide."
