Susan Amara, PhD, scientific director of the intramural research program at the National Institute of Mental Health, speaks about her scientific research, which includes how medications work in the treatment of both attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and depression, and what new treatments might be possible, as well. She visited Upstate Medical University to speak to students about the importance of scientific research.
