Recent news headlines said scientists had discovered a new organ in the human body. That's not quite true, says emeritus professor Barry Berg, PhD, who has taught anatomy to thousands of medical and physical therapy students at Upstate. He explains how scientists are learning about the role of the interstitium by using a relatively new method of studying human tissue.
