Upstate Medical University was the first SUNY campus to go smoke-free, in 2005, and today remains smoke- and tobacco-free. In an effort to help visitors stick to that policy, Upstate has begun offering "Clear the Air comfort kits" containing nicotine lozenges. Respiratory therapist and smoking-cessation education coordinator Theresa Hankin explains the new project and talks about how some employees have stopped smoking since the policy took effect.
