Upstate pulmonologist Ran Anbar, MD, gives us an update on the promising new drug Kalydeco™ that treats the underlying cause of cystic fibrosis, and an ongoing clinical trial at Upstate. Anbar is the director of the pediatric pulmonary and cystic fibrosis center at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital, and author of a new book about the impact of psychological factors in the treatment of disease titled "Functional Symptoms in Pediatric Disease: A Clinical Guide."
