Foundry's Computerworld announces Upstate Medical University as a 2025 Best Places to Work in IT. This award recognizes the top organizations that challenge their IT staff while providing great benefits and compensation. In their first year appearing on the list, Upstate was ranked No. 35 among large organizations (5,000+ employees). With its staff of over 10,680, Upstate is Central New York’s largest employer. ‘Best Places to Work in IT’ is a global program and rankings represent locations worldwide.

ELUCIDATE, a Project Insight Platform Developed at Upstate Medical University, Secures Funding from SUNY’s Technology Accelerator Fund (TAF)

ELUCIDATE (LUCI), a project insight platform developed within Upstate Medical University’s Information Management and Technology (IMT) division, was one of the seven recipients of seed funding through the TAF. Upstate’s Chief Information Officer, Mark Zeman, and Mary DeGroat, director of the Moonshot department, were the lead investigators on the grant proposal as well as the inventors of LUCI.

When the disruptive update was issued it was the middle of the business day in Asia, the early morning hours in Europe, and midnight in much of the Americas.
