Adult Volunteer Program

We accept Adult Volunteer applications on a rolling basis, year-round. Read on for more information and the link for our online application.

The Adult Volunteer Program welcomes those 18+ years of age to become a member of our team and assist Upstate in a number of ways. When you unite with Upstate’s volunteers, you join a dedicated group!

Who

Hundreds of individuals from around Central New York who volunteer at Upstate play an integral role in our mission to deliver compassionate, high quality care.  They give more than 25,000 hours of time per year, providing both direct services and behind-the-scenes support.

What

Our variety of volunteer roles range from clerical to clinical at Upstate University & Community Hospitals, the downtown Cancer Center, Golisano Children’s Hospital, the new Nappi Wellness Institute and more.  If you haven’t done so already, check out our Volunteer Opportunities to learn a little more about a few of our volunteer roles.
