A seasonal reminder: Flu vaccine is even more important during COVID-19 pandemic

Public health officials are urging everyone 6 months of age and older to be vaccinated against influenza. Jarrod Bagatell, MD, medical director of employee and student health at Upstate, says the best time to get a shot is in September or October. This year, a nasal spray is available as an alternative to the shot, but only for people who are healthy. Bagatell also discusses the special importance of the flu vaccine  during the COVID-19 pandemic.
