For a few hundred dollars and a saliva sample, you can learn some information about your genealogy or medical conditions for which you may be at risk. But should you seek such information from a home genetic test? Upstate's director of medical genetics, Robert Lebel, MD, talks about what to consider before seeking genetic testing.
