Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and the benefit of support groups

Joseph G Sorbello, MSEd, RRT, RTRoy VanOrderJoseph Sorbello, RT, chair of the Respiratory Therapy Program in Upstate's College of Health Professions, talks about emphysema and chronic bronchitis, together referred to as Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease, or COPD.  Sorbello is joined by Roy VanOrder, PhD, who started a COPD and Alpha-1 support group in Syracuse called ZephyrCuse, funded through the American Lung Association and the Alpha-1 Anti-trypsin Foundation.
