A Phase 2b Randomized, Double-Blind Trial Comparing HDV-Insulin Lispro Versus Insulin Lispro Alone in Adults with Type 1 Diabetes Receiving Insulin Degludec.

What is the purpose of the study? (in Layman's terms, please describe the study)

The purpose of the study is to find out whether the addition of HDV (hepatic-directed vesicle) to Humalog (insulin lispro) will improve diabetes control by reducing high blood sugar after meals and/or reducing the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) during insulin treatment.

    Study participation will last approximately 34 weeks (just over 6 months).

  • What tests and procedures are involved?
    The following are done as part of this study: medication history, physical exams, vital signs, height, weight, ECGs, blood and urine laboratory tests, questionnaires and continuous glucose monitoring.
