Structure-based nanocarrier design for efficient drug delivery

What is the purpose of the study?

The purpose of this research study is to obtain red blood cell for use in basic science research in a laboratory. Participation in this study will involve donating 0.5 ml (about 10 drops ) of blood for basic science research in the lab.

Who is eligible?

18 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds, are not pregnant, and are in generally good health.

What is involved if I participate?

  • What tests and procedures are involved?
    in this study, 0.5 mls of blood will be drawn by finger skin puncture, which is a routine procedure used for obtaining blood samples. A lancet is used to make a puncture (1.5 mm) into middle or ring finger. Blood will be collected into microtainer vail with gentle massage of punctured finger.

    You will also be asked for your permission to contact you again to donate blood. You will not be asked to donate blood more often than twice a week and no more than 5 mls of blood will be taken in any eight week period. Your agreement to donate blood does not mean that you have to donate blood again.
