Registration / Poster Abstract Submission

The Annual Biomedical Sciences Retreat is 8:00am-6:00pm on Wednesday, September 8th, 2021. RSVP/Registration Deadline is Tuesday, August 24th, 2021 at 12:00pm Noon.

Poster space for the Retreat is LIMITED. Priority will be given to graduate student submissions. DEADLINE for abstract submissions is Tuesday, August 17th, 2021 at 12:00pm Noon.

Prizes of $200, $100 and $50 will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners among the graduate student posters.

Please DO NOT submit any abstract via email, these will be ignored. Only abstracts submitted via this form will be accepted.

You may register first and submit your poster abstract at a later time.

Guidelines for Submitting an Abstract:

  • The individual submitting an abstract should be listed as first author.
  • An individual can only be listed as first author on one abstract.
  • All contributors, including the principal investigator/mentor, must be listed as an author on the abstract.
  • Authors should be listed in the following format: LastName, FirstName then separated by semi-colons.
  • Abstracts must be formatted in Arial, Size 10 Font in a Microsoft Word Document. (No PDFs will be accepted)
  • Abstracts should be no more than 350 words.
  • Abstracts should briefly state the study’s objective, methods used, summarize the results, and state the conclusions.
  • All work presented in the abstract should be primarily conducted at Upstate Medical University.

By submitting this abstract, I acknowledge that the research submitted here is my own work – based upon work performed by myself or jointly with others. I also acknowledge that I possess the rights and approval from all contributors to present such work to others.
Vaccination Requirement
For the safety of participants, all attendees will be required to show proof of full vaccination at the door before entering the venue. Proof of vaccination would include either a Wolf Pack sticker on your Upstate ID badge or proof of vaccination through the NYS Excelsior Pass.
