Upstate Family Medicine Teaching Day

...was held on November 16th and 17th at the Sheraton University Hotel in Syracuse.

Fall Faculty Development sessions were held for the Rural Medical Education Program and the Family Medicine Clerkship - focusing on assessment and evaluation.

Grand Rounds was delivered Friday night by Dr. Christine Arenson - visiting professor from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia - on the topic of Care for the Elderly in the new healthcare system.

On Saturday morning, four CME talks were given on various topics in care of the elderly.  Thanks to Sharon Brangman, MD, Greg Szymaniak, PharmD, Tom LaClair, MD, MBA, and Jerome Mikloucich, DO for their talks.  Afterward, attendees convened to determine a group quality improvement project focusing on care for the elderly.
