Volunteer Opportunities

Current service programs are posted to our Noblehour platform at www.noblehour.com/upstatemedicaluniversity.

Looking for Something to Do?

The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) provides several opportunities to engage students within the local Syracuse community. If you are curious about a particular program or population, we encourage you to email us at engage@upstate.edu.

As an Upstate student, you are enrolled in the Center for Civic Engagement’s Brightspace Organization and may receive periodic updates about service opportunities, community forums or events, and important student announcements. In addition, this Brightspace site serves as a resource for anyone interested in becoming engaged in the community or wanting to learn more about advocacy and ongoing social justice efforts.

All students participating in Center for Civic Engagement programs are required to abide by the volunteer guidelines and the Code of Conduct.

Want to start a new volunteer program?

Students interested in starting a new program should complete a Service Learning Program Proposal Form. CCE will review the application and reach out to the student and coordinate a meeting to discuss the proposed program in further detail.

If you have any questions regarding this process, please feel free to reach out to us via email at engage@upstate.edu.
