The Division of Endocrinology offers a robust clinical fellowship. Clinical experiences include various opportunities to observe, manage, and judge the effects of therapies and treatments in a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions affecting the endocrine system, including diabetes and metabolic concerns.

The Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Fellowship at Upstate Medical University offers a tailored program that caters to the individual interests of each Fellow while fulfilling the requirements of the subspecialty Board. The program provides a robust ambulatory experience at the Joslin Diabetes Center, University Endocrinologists, and Osteoporosis Center, supplemented by experiences at the VA Medical Center Diabetes and Endocrine Clinics. Inpatient consultations primarily take place at University Hospital and the VA Medical Center in Syracuse. The program features an average of four formal teaching conferences weekly.
