Upstate Medical University and Hospital is a member of the Central New York Health Emergency Preparedness Coaliton (HEPC). 

The coalition includes healthcare partners from a broad spectrum of not only the local community, but also from around the 14 county Central NY Region. The coalition is led by the NYSDOH Central NY Regional Office and meets on a quarterly basis. The core focus of the HEPC is to integrate and coordinate Emergency Support Function (ESF)-8 activities as they apply to healthcare and public health emergency planning and response.
