LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Following this activity participant will understand (how to):
- Gain an appreciation of how Race, Racism, and Racial Issues were involved and/or incorporated in playing roles in three (of countless) examples of Women’s Health in American history.
- Discuss how Race, Racism, and Racial Issues are being examined in contemporary Women’s Health and Severe Maternal Morbidity (SMM) in Black/African-American women.
- Review some of the current methods OB/GYN educators and national policy/law makers have used to address/improve Race, Racism, Racial Issues in contemporary Women’s Health.
