Center for Vision Research’s 25th Anniversary Symposium

In celebration of our 25 years of vision research, the Center for Vision Research hosted an all-day Symposium featuring leading experts in vision research. Speakers include Dr. Michael Chiang, Director of National Eye Institute; Prof. Janey Wiggs, Harvard University; Prof. Erik Herzog, Washington University; Prof. Marla Feller, UC Berkley as well as a panel of leaders in research funding and many alumni/ae of the CVR.

The day ended with a reception following a keynote address by the Honorable David A. Paterson, 55th Governor of New York, and author of Black, Blind and In Charge.

Thanks to all our speakers and attendees – it was a wonderful day of science and celebration.

A special recognition to Professor Peter D. Calvert, PhD who was named the inaugural John A. Hoepner, MD Endowed Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.
