About the COVID-19 Vaccine

Currently, two COVID-19 vaccines have been approved for emergency use by the FDA and New York State's independent Clinical Advisory Task Force: one that was developed by Pfizer and BioNTech and another that was developed by Moderna.

Vaccines will be available at no cost.

Pediatric Vaccine Clinic

Upstate to offer Moderna Covid-19 vaccine for children six months to five years of age

The Upstate Pediatric and Adolescent Center will offer Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine for children six months to five years of age Monday and Thursday mornings beginning July 18 at 9 a.m.

The Monday/Thursday pediatric vaccine clinics will be held at Upstate Health Care Center, 90 Presidential Plaza, Syracuse. Space is limited and appointments are required.

Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccines for children are offered in two doses, the second dose approximately five weeks after the first. Appointments for second doses will be made in the office at the time of the child’s first appointment.
