Direct Path - Dual Admission RN to BS in Nursing Programs
SUNY Upstate Medical University entered into a Dual Admission Program agreement that offers simultaneous admission to Upstate’s RN to Bachelor of Science in nursing degree program and an associate degree in nursing (ADN) from the following two community colleges:
As an Upstate nursing student in the Dual Admission Program, you can begin taking courses to fulfill the requirements for the online Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree while a student at one of the above community colleges. The goal of this joint initiative is to provide a direct path to obtaining a bachelor degree in nursing and to foster a pipeline of well qualified nurses to work at our hospitals. As part of the Dual Admission Program, accepted students are able to apply for several positions with guaranteed interviews for relevant positions at Upstate Medical University.
Application and Prerequisites
You must submit an application for the associates in nursing program to the community college(s) of your choice from the list above, and meet their admission prerequisites, requirements and deadlines. There is no application to SUNY Upstate.

- Pass NCLEX
