Admission to the College of Nursing is competitive. In selecting students, the Admissions Committee considers previous academic performance, letters of recommendation and a personal statement of professional experience and goals.
How to Apply
The admissions committee considers those who have submitted complete applications. Although New York state residents are given preference, out-of-state applicants are welcome and admitted each year.
We are no longer accepting applications to our Master of Science program.
Virtual Information Sessions
The Office of Admissions is conducting virtual information sessions for those who are interested in the following College of Nursing programs.
- Bachelor of Science Program
- Doctor of Nursing Practice Programs
- Post-Master's Certificate
We recommend you seek preadmission advisement 10 to 12 months prior to the date of your anticipated matriculation. In this session, an admissions counselor provides you with guidance and assistance in meeting the admissions requirements.
Appointments for preadmission advisement may be made online or by calling the Office of Student Admissions at 315-464-4570. Please bring to your appointment photocopies of academic records, including nursing school transcripts, transcripts from all other colleges or universities attended, and semester grade reports.
Applicants who are unable to travel to the College of Nursing for an advisement session should send a cover letter and copies of academic records to the:
