Upstate Emerging Leaders

The next generation of philanthopic leaders 

OUR MISSION: To promote and encourage the spirit of philanthropy and
volunteerism among emerging leaders in the Central New York Community

As an Emerging Leader and representative of Upstate Medical University, you will have the opportunity to attend leadership and community education programs and volunteer events, network with other leaders from companies in the greater Syracuse area such as National Grid, Loretto and many more.

If you are selected as an Upstate Emerging Leader, you must fulfill 16 hours of volunteer service during the September 2019 - September 2020 year. Upstate Medical University will cover your $250 donation for the first year of membership. Limited scholarships are available.

The 2019-2020 recruitment session is now CLOSED. The next recruitment session will begin in summer 2020. 

You can become an Upstate Emerging Leader through the Community Giving Campaign.  To do so, select the "Emerging Leaders" checkbox on your epledge or paper peldge card AND donate $250 to the United Way of CNY.

You can become a United Way Emerging Leader anytime by contacting the United Way of CNY at 315-428-2211.
