Dr. Kistler's research interests include clinical and function outcomes after traumatic orthopedic injuries to the pelvis and acetabulum, upper extremities and lower extremeties.
Dr. Kistler specializes in the treatment of traumatic orthopedic fractures from polytrauma patients with high energy injuries to patients with simple fractures requiring operative and non-operative treatment. Dr. Kistler has particular interests in fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum, both complex periarticular fractures and long bone fractures of the upper and lower extremity, fractures of the foot and ankle, pediatric fractures, periprosthetic fractures, fractures requiring arthroplasty of the hip joint and the treatment of fractures which have gone to nonunion or malunion.
