Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)

Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a technique used for in vitro oxygenation of blood. Cardiovascular Perfusion, Respiratory Therapy, Clinical Laboratory Science, and the College of Medicine are interested in protective mechanical ventilation strategies in conjunction with ECMO for treatment of acute lung injury.
