About Me: I was born in Brooklyn, NY. I was so happy to match at SUNY Upstate for residency and then fellowship. I love gardening, baking, camping and hiking which is very easy to do in Syracuse.
Future Plan: Electrophysiology Fellowship
Why Upstate Medical University: I did my residency here and everyone was so kind, friendly and loved to teach.  The quality of cardiology education from the faculty and fellows was great, even as a resident, so I knew I wanted to stay around. In addition, syracuse is a great place to raise a family.  I currently have one son and am expecting another one in August 2021.

Why Upstate Medical University: I loved my training experience as an internal medicine resident here and wanted to stay for cardiology as well. Proximity to family was a huge priority for me.

About Me: I served in the US Navy and studied Economics at Penn State before I had a career in medicine. I try to keep the good habits I learned in the Navy, exercising and discipline and I am interested in current events in the social sciences, particularly macroeconomics.
Future Plan: General cardiology is all I had in mind at the beginning, but at the moment, I am fascinated by the subspecialties; I am still exploring

Why Upstate Medical University: I found brilliant Cardiologists here at Upstate. These are physicians I admire and respect. I was fortunate in that many were willing to mentor me. I cherished this mentor-mentee relationship and I wanted to stay.

About Me: I grew up mostly in Virginia Beach, VA and started developing an interest in Cardiology when my father was diagnosed with CAD. Because money was somewhat tight growing up, we tried to focus on lifestyle changes to help treat his disease, which is what prompted my initial interest. When he passed of sudden cardiac death, it solidified my career goals. Since then, I focused my career around trying to prevent this from happening to other families. On a lighter note, I used to compete and still do internationally in Kung Fu

Why Upstate Medical University: I had a good relationship with the fellows and attendings during residency. This gave me insight into the program and the curriculum. My future plans are non-invasive cardiology and I believe this program is very strong in that regard.

About Me: Born and raised in Syracuse, NY. I am excited to continue my training here and serve the population in my hometown as a cardiologist.

Why Upstate Medical University: I have had 2 different grandparents taken care of by Upstate Cardiology and I know countless people in the community that have benefited from the wonderful care here. There is no other place I could imagine myself training and practicing.
