The Upstate Cancer Center is committed to the psychological well-being of patients and family members.  When faced with a cancer diagnosis patients can feel overwhelmed and frightened.  As part of our spectrum of multi-disciplinary cancer care within Upstate we offer psycho-oncology services to our patients throughout the process of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and survival.

Services will be provided for our patient, family, and care-takers which will enable them to be at their strongest emotionally.  This will allow them to handle all aspects of treatment from a more informed and empowered position.

 Services will include:

  • Individual psychotherapy
  • Medication management
  • Support groups
  • Education and options for integrated holistic treatments for both cancer and psychiatric symptoms
Our psycho-oncologist, Dr. Dorianne Eaves, is readily available to counsel patients.
