Hard-Boiled Egg
Ingredients
- 6 to 12 large eggs
- Place eggs in a single layer on the bottom of a large pot. Make sure that there is room in between the eggs to allow the hot water to cook the eggs evenly.
- Fill a pot with enough water to cover the eggs. If cooking 6 eggs, fill the water to 1 inch above the eggs. If cooking 7 to 12 eggs, fill the water to 2 inches above the eggs.
- Cover pot and place over high heat and bring water to a roaring boil. Once boiling, turn the heat off and leave on the hot burner for 12-15 minutes.
- Remove eggs from the pan and place in a bowl of cold water. Let sit for another 5 minutes. Peel and enjoy.
