CBHX 315/316 Health Care Ethics

Required Course

This discussion-based course emphasizes the application of ethical principles to real-world medical dilemmas. Students learn how ethical values such as respect for autonomy, beneficence, and justice can be used to resolve problems that arise for both patients and healthcare providers in medical care, including issues related to privacy and confidentiality, reproductive rights, testing and screening, and informed consent. The course emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving through case-based analysis.
