Learning Objectives: Following this activity, participants should be able to:
1. Identify the goals of the Choosing Wisely initiative of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
2. Avoid the five areas in Geriatrics that may not promote good health outcomes and can increase health care costs.
3. Assist patients and families to make medical decisions based on the evidence presented by the geriatrics principles identified in the Choosing Wisely initiative.
