Wilderness Medicine & EM Physicians, EMS personnel, RNs, PAs, NPs, FPs, Medical residents and Medical Students.

Breakdown academic wilderness medicine into various components and apply these to eachcategory of health care provider present in the audience.
Outline possible goals and obstacles for the future of academic wilderness medicine.
Discuss awareness of the pitfalls and issues in being a wilderness physician.
Describe the risk factors for drowning and key components of drowning prevention.
Describe the evedence-based approach to drowning in the pre-hospital and hospital settings.
Discuss the current best practice management of moderated to severe hypothermia in the prehospital and emergency department setting.
Describe common medical conditions leading to activation of Search and Rescue.
