Exploring what is meant by "human
nature" is about exploring the borderline
between our instinctive and thoughtful selves.
Plato and Machiavelli shared a similar view
about human nature, especially in relation
to self-interest. Today, the question remains
as to whether their views still make sense-and
this paper will comment on this continuing
 debate.\n
 \n
Dr. Sheldrake does not have financial
 relationships with commercial interests.\n\n
