Nursing Support Services

Nursing Support Services (NSS) supports the Nursing Department in the areas of position control, staffing, Kronos scheduling, patient acuity systems, supplemental staffing support and Administrative Supervisor support 24/7.

The department is comprised of non clinical administrative assistant personnel that maintain the Kronos Scheduling and Nursing Position Control systems. Clinical staff includes SWAT team, ICU and M/S floats, as well as LPN and UST float staff.

The focus of the department is to ensure position control within Nursing department while monitoring resource utilization in order to meet patient care requirements. The department maintains continuous scheduling and staffing oversight that includes the development of staffing plans and unit personnel budgets.
