Seasoned Nurse Retention Program

University Hospital and the Nursing Recruitment and Retention Office is excited to announce a NEW initiative to impact nursing recruitment and retention. This quarterly event is a one-hour program intended for our more seasoned nursing staff. Staff members are recommended by their managers to attend a focus group/open forum format, intended to discuss SUNY Upstate as an organization and unit/department experiences. The data collected from these forums wil be trended and included along with our other retention data in an effort to make positive changes in regards to nursing recruitment and retention.

We had our first luncheon on Wednesday, November 15, 2006. We all had a lot of fun and got a great deal of wonderful information/feedback.
