Director

Beth Erwin , CPCS, CPMSM serves as Director of Medical Staff Services and as such is responsible for the supervision and direction of all activities of the Medical Staff Services department. She can be contacted via e-mail at ErwinE@Upstate.edu, or in Room 204 CWB.

Assistant to the Director / Physician Credentialing

Michele Smelkoff is the Assistant to the Director of Medical Staff Services, and is a Credentialing Coordinator responsible for physician credentialing and privileging. She can be contacted via e-mail at SmelkofM@Upstate.edu, in Room 205 CWB, or by telephone at (315) 464-5653.

Credentialing Coordinator

Sherry McNeil is the Credentialing Coordinator responsible for health professional credentialing. Sherry also provides support to the NP/PA Alliance. She can be contacted via e-mail at McNeilSh@Upstate.edu, in Room 206 CWB, or by telephone at (315) 464-5654.

Credentialing Coordinator

Brittany Wall is the Credentialing Coordinator responsible for tracking all quality information sent to the Medical Staff Services department. Resident Credentialing Coordinator

Geraldine Dawson is the Resident Credentialing Coordinator. Gerry tracks all licensure and certification for Resident and Attending physicians. She can be contacted via e-mail at DawsonG@Upstate.edu, in Room 210 CWB, or by telephone at (315) 464-5658.

Mailboxes are located outside of Gerry's office, and outside the Resident's lounge, for Resident procedure cards.

Office Assistant

Lauren MacDonald is the Medical Staff Services Office Assistant. Lauren coordinates Grand Rounds for Health Professionals, provides responses to requests for verification from other facilities, tracks annual medical staff contributions, and assist office team members in various other responsibilities.
