Breast Care Center

The Breast Care Center of University Hospital and the SUNY Upstate Medical University brings together specialists in all aspects of breast disease to evaluate and treat women and men with benign or malignant conditions. Both patients newly diagnosed with breast disease and those seeking a second opinion are seen at the Center. Patients may be referred by a physician or may self-refer, and staff work closely with the patient's primary physician.

Services offered include medical evaluation of breast abnormalities, prompt diagnosis and consultation concerning treatment options, state-of-the-art treatment, psychosocial support, breast health instruction, screening and education.

Timely Appointment Scheduling
Women who find a mass or thickening in their breasts or have an area of concern identified on screening mammography do not have to wait anxiously for an appointment. Patients are seen in a timely manner by a specialist in breast disease.
