Spine Program

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at University Hospital offers a program designed to treat individuals with spinal pain or dysfunction. The spine program provides physical therapy examinations and treatments that address a wide variety of spinal injuries ranging from acute strain, disc problems or whiplash injury to long-standing conditions such as arthritis.

The treatments include specific techniques as well as educational tools to enhance the individuals rapid return to function. Paramount to successful treatment is providing an ongoing independent exercise program and proper body mechanics for use both at home and in the workplace.
