Pain is not necessarily bad. Sometimes it works as a warning system to alert the body to danger. It comes in all different shapes and sizes. People with the same condition can have very different pain experiences which are dependent on many factors.

What is Chronic Pain?

Acute vs. Chronic: Acute pain is usually severe and is a signal to our bodies to stop the activity. It may need medical assessment. It is important to realize that we should stop activity to prevent further injury.

It is not all in your head. It can affect emotions, family relationships, work, hobbies, sports, and the way you feel about yourself.
