Driver Rehabilitation Program

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at University Hospital offers a driver rehabilitation program. The driver rehabilitation program is a cooperative venture between University Hospital and Rochester Rehabilitation.

This program is dedicated to providing an evaluation and instruction in safe driving practices for individuals whose driving ability is compromised by physical or cognitive limitations. The program provides the use of adaptive equipment for those requiring modifications.

The process includes a clinical examination of your cognitive, physical ands sensory skills by an occupational therapist and an in- vehicle (van or car) assessment by driver rehabilitation specialists.
