Physical Therapy for Diabetic Patients

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at University Hospital provides physical therapy for individuals with diabetes. Individuals with diabetes can benefit from exercise and activity however pain may limit their ability to perform some activities. The physical therapy diabetic program offers an examination and treatment for those with diabetes that are having problems with exercise.

The therapist will provide you with an individualized exercise program, while taking into consideration your pain. The exercise program is designed so that it can be carried over in your home. The therapist works closely with the Joslin Diabetes Center and your physician.

A physician's referral is required for examination and treatment within this program.
