Biofeedback Program
The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department offers biofeedback to those patients that can benefit from visual or auditory feedback. Biofeedback is a computer monitoring of body functions including muscle activity, blood pressure and temperature. Assisting the patient learn to control these functions to help with therapy is the treatment goal. Biofeedback can be used to treat a variety of medical problems including chronic pain, essential high blood pressure, and headaches. An experienced physical therapy trainer provides treatment and education with this tool.
A physicians referral is required for examination and treatment within this therapy program.
