PRIDE is designed to meet the special needs of adolescent parents and their
first child.
The program operates within the framework of the child's well-child
visits. Parents receive one-on-one teaching to help them develop skills to care
for their child's physical and emotional needs, as well as to develop their
own parenting style.
Assistance with day care, WIC nutritional services, school
reentry, employment, and learning how to enjoy and interact with their infants
is provided by the team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and child
life specialists.
Referrals are accepted from all sources.
