Environmental & Occupational Pathology
This section serves as a national referral center for analysis of tissues
to confirm occupational/environmental exposures to and disease resulting
from toxic agents. These include asbestos, lead, silica, talc, coal dust,
beryllium, and other potentially dangerous substances.
In addition to light microscopy review, electron probe microanalysis is
provided to characterize composition of foreign materials seen in tissues
and environ mental samples.
