This clinic sees children and adults with inherited muscle and peripheral-nerve diseases. It also provides care and treatment for some types of acquired muscle disease, such as dermatomyositis. The Muscular Dystrophy Association will pay for the diagnostic evaluation and for the initial and subsequent physicians' bills if they are not paid for by the patient's medical insurance. It meets every Thursday morning at University Health Care Center, a medical building a few blocks from University Hospital.
