Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Research and Treatment Center

This Center provides multidisiplinary care for patients with ALS and conducts clinical trials on experimental therapies for this disease. Besides physicians, it is staffed by nurse practitioners and physical therapists. It also offers a patient/family support group. It is a division of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. This organization will pay for the diagnostic evaluation and for the initial and subsequent physicians' bills if they are not paid for by the patient's medical insurance.
