Frequently Asked Questions

When I call, will I speak to my physician?

Each physician has an Academic office setting and patient care office. Each physician has designated time to provide patient care at Surgical Specialties. Your call may be handled by a clinical staff member who has access to your physician as needed.

Will you validate my parking?

No. We are unable to validate parking.

Will I be called into the office in the order in which I arrive?

As this is a multi provider office, please be advised that you may not be called in the order that you arrived.

Do I have to pay anything on my day of service?

Co-payments are expected at the time of service, based on your insurance.

What if I run out of my medication and need a refill?

At your visit, you should let your provider know if you need a refill before your next visit. However, if you should need to contact the office for a refill, please dial the main number and listen to the prompts. Please be advised that your prescription will be filled within 48 business hours.

What do I do with my insurance or work forms that I need filled out?

You may mail them to us or bring them to your visit. Please be aware that they will NOT be filled out on the same day.
